HOW TO GET STARTED:

1. Tap the search icon.
2. Select a nearby hair salon.
3. Press the Check In button.
4. Provide your name and phone number.
5. Hit Check In again to be added to the waitlist—no need for a login or profile.
6. Notify the salon upon your arrival.

Keep an eye on your estimated wait time countdown after checking in, and arrive just in time for your service!

UNDERSTANDING ESTIMATED WAIT TIMES

The estimated wait times are based on the assumption that you will be served by the next available stylist. While you can request a specific stylist upon arrival, please be aware that this may lengthen your wait. For your privacy and safety, we don't publish stylist availability.

WHEN CAN I USE ONLINE CHECK-IN?

Online check-in is available during the salon's operating hours. However, it will not be accessible in the first five minutes after opening. This grace period allows customers already in the salon to check in and join the waitlist. Online Check-In remains open until 30 minutes before closing time. Although you can still receive services right up until closing, you won't be able to check in via the app.

IS ONLINE CHECK-IN WIDE-RANGING?

Absolutely! You can utilize Online Check-In for nearly all services, with the exception of perms and formal updos. Be aware that not every salon provides perms, and many require an appointment for these specific services, so it's advisable to contact the salon directly.

WHAT IF I LACK A MOBILE DEVICE?

No worries! You can check in using any device with internet access, such as a tablet or computer. Visit greatclips.com, choose 'Find a Salon' or 'Check In', and input your address or postal code to access Online Check-In effortlessly! If you don't have internet access, you’re always welcome to walk into any salon and add your name to the list.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?

After you complete your online check-in, you'll see your position in the waitlist. It's best to arrive at the salon before you are next in line. If you wish to know when your wait time reaches 15 minutes, consider signing up for ReadyNext® text alerts. Make sure to inform the stylists of your arrival so they can verify your details and finalize your check-in.

WHAT IF I'M LATE?

We get it—life happens! Whether it's losing your keys or facing unexpected traffic, don't stress. Your name will remain on the list for a brief period even if you arrive late.

HOW DO I CANCEL MY CHECK-IN?

After checking in, the salon will be displayed on your home screen. You can cancel your check-in anytime by selecting the 'Cancel check-in' option.
